Moth & Meal Moth Extermination
There are several species of clothes moths. The adults do no damage when feeding. It is the larvae which hatch from the sticky eggs that eat wool, hair, fur or feathers. The grubs are white caterpillars with golden-brown heads, which spin a hiding place of characteristic loose silk webbing, beneath which they feed.
Treatment is usually by residual insecticide spray incorporating a growth inhibitor to kill both adults and larvae. If infestation is particularly bad, fumigation smokes or insecticide fogging can also be used for quick knock down of adult moths.
Flour & Meal moths – Moths whose grubs feed on stored food – especially cereals, chocolate, cocoa, dried fruit, nuts and any sort of flour product. We would advise any infested food be destroyed. Clean out the store cupboard and then Terminate will spray or dust surfaces with a product for stored product moth control. If infestation is particularly bad, fumigation smokes or insecticide fogging can also be used for quick knock down of adult moths.
